Welcome to Finca Ometepe! Bienvenidos! 

Driving up the dirt road to our home away from home, Finca Ometepe, I am filled with an emotion that is hard to describe. I love this place, this home. The sounds of the jungle surround you as you mount higher up the slopes of Maderas, the dormant volcano sleeping so peacefully just above us. Depending on the time of day, you may hear monkeys, parrots, goats, or just the wind whistling through the giant Ceiba tree that stands so proud and strong at the edge of our property. As you mount the hill and come to our farm, a view of the lake unfolds, reaching 180 degrees from the east to the west. From the balcony, you can see amazing shows of weather when it is stormy, or just enjoy the views of the flocks of parrots as they fly overhead. Welcome.
